Abstract
Background : The World Health Organization (WHO) predicted in 2021 that there would be 395,000 maternal deaths for every 100,000 live births. Currently, Indonesia has a relatively high infant mortality rate compared to other ASEAN countries, being 1.2 times higher than the Philippines and 4.2 times higher than Malaysia. Low birth weight (LBW), very low birth weight (VLBW), severe hypoxia, and sepsis are the most common causes. Fetal distress refers to a condition involving the fetus that ultimately leads to artificial delivery, such as Caeserean Section, which is characterizes by irregular fetal hearth rate (FHR) (FHR frequency of 160 beats per minute or less) and the presence of meconium
Case Report: Mrs. S received care at Soedarso General Hospital from January 24,2023, to November 28, 2023. The subjects was Mrs. S, a 26- years-old woman, G1P0A0, with a 40-week pregnancy. Primary data were obtained throught history taking, inspection, monitoring, and documentation, and analyzes using a comparison between the collcted data and current data.
Discussion: This case study examined the comprehensive midwifery care provided to Mrs. S and By by applying the SOAP technique. The aim is to establish a connection between research findings and practical applicaion.
Conclusion: The comprehensive midwifery care provided to Mrs. S and By were implemented using Varney’s Seven Steps, documented in the form of SOAP. After the interventions and periodic observations, no serious risks were found for the mother and baby, allowing for the complection of analysis and management according to the theory once all data had been gathered
