Abstract
Tuberculosis is a contagious infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The rate of tuberculosis infection in West Kalimantan is the highest in the Kalimantan region. Tuberculosis treatment itself uses a combination regimen of first-line anti-tuberculosis drugs such as isoniazid, rifampicin, pyrazinamide, ethambutol which has been designed to achieve cure and prevent resistance. The direct mechanism of the drug and non-pharmacological factors accompanying tuberculosis treatment can exacerbate hematocrit changes. This study used an accidental sampling technique with a sample size of 41 respondents. The results showed that the average hematocrit level across all samples was 34.93, with a variation between 31% and 40%. Statistical tests showed a significant relationship between tuberculosis patients receiving anti-tuberculosis drug therapy and hematocrit levels at the Pal Sembilan Community Health Center, Kubu Raya Regency (p = 0.010). These findings indicate that a decrease in hematocrit levels in tuberculosis patients undergoing anti-tuberculosis drug therapy (OTT) is one of the hematological changes frequently observed during treatment. Hematocrit itself is an indicator of the proportion of red blood cell volume to total blood volume, so a decrease reflects a disturbance in the red blood cell count or anemia
