Abstract
Background: Maternal mortality and infant mortality rates in Indonesia are very high compared to ASEAN countries (Association of Southes Asian Nations). Based on the results of the Indonesian Demographic Health Survey (IDHS) in 2013, MMR from 228 in 2007 to 291 per 100,000 live births in 2014, while the target the government wants to achieve in reducing MMR in 2015 is the target of the Millennium Development Goals (MGD's), namely Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) where the MMR target in 2019 is 306 per 100,000, while in 2030 the MMR is 70 per 100,000 live births. According to the Ministry of Health in 2010, the three main factors causing maternal mortality are bleeding (28%), eclampsia (24%) and infection (11%).
Research Objectives: Able to provide comprehensive midwifery care to Mrs. N with uterine atony and baby Mrs. N using a midwifery management approach in the West Pontianak Work Area.
Research Methods: The research design used by the author in the study was a descriptive method with a case study approach.
Results: Assessment of comprehensive midwifery care at Mrs. N with uterine atony and the baby, Mrs. N in the management given there is a gap between cases and theories.
Conclusion: Comprehensive midwifery care for Mrs. N with uterine atony and Baby Mrs. N using 7 varney steps. Midwifery there is a gap between cases and theories
