Abstract
Introduction: Asphyxia is a condition newborns fail to breathe spontaneously, regularly immediately after birth, so that the baby cannot take in oxygen and cannot excrete carbon dioxide from the body. It can reduce O2 (oxygen) and possibly increase it. CO2 (carbon dioxide) can be influenced by maternal age, premature delivery, breach location, and prolonged labor/labor jams causing harmful consequences in different life.
Objective: To determine the factors associated with the incidence of asphyxia in newborns
Case report: The type of research used was descriptive with a case study research design (CSR). The research subject was a newborn with Moderate Asphyxia. Data collection included assessment, formulating a diagnosis, implementing immediate action, and evaluation.
Discussion: There was no gap between theory and case after Midwifery Care to a newborn with Moderate Asphyxia at Ida Apianti Independent Midwife Practice.
Conclusion: Based on the results of Midwifery Care in a baby of Mrs. I, with moderate asphyxia, obtained good results such as the condition of a healthy baby
