Abstract

Background : The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 800 women died every day due to complications of pregnancy and childbirth.
Objective : The objective of this study was to conduct pathological obstetric care in women giving birth with premature rupture of membranes.
Case Report : Midwifery care given to Mrs. E at the Independent Midwifery Oractice of Iryanti Hastuti started from 10 December 2020 to 25 December 2020. The subject is Mrs. E, 38 years GIII PII A0 40 weeks pregnant in the first stage of latent phase I with premature rupture of membranes, using primary data types. The methods of collecting anamnesis data through observation, examination, case data are processed, analyzed, and then documented.
Discussion : This report details pathological midwifery care for mothers with premature rupture of membranes using the SOAP method, Varney's 7-step midwifery management approach, which is outlined in SOAP form, supported by the role of health workers in finding gaps between theory and practice.
Conclusion : There is no gap between theory and practice in the field. Furthermore, after all the data collected, it can be concluded that the analysis and management are conduct following the theory.
