Abstract

Background: The health status of a country is determined by indicators of the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). According to the WHO report in 2014, Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) including the United States of America 9.300 people, North Africa 179.000 people and Southeast Asia 16,000 people (Health News, 2015). The global infant mortality rate has decreased to 32 per 1.000 live births in 2015 (WHO, 2015). Based on the results of the West Kalimantan Health Office report in 2018 the maternal mortality rate (MMR) the proportion of maternal mortality for December 2018 in West Kalimantan is hemorrhage (48.23%), Gestational hypertension (20%), infection (23.53%), circulatory system disorders (7.06%), metabolic disorders (1.18%) etc.
Research Objectives: Able to provide comprehensive midwifery care to Mrs. Y and Baby Mrs. Y in Pontianak City in 2019
Research Methods: Using a descriptive observational method with a Case Study Research (CSR).
Results: Based on the midwifery care that has been carried out from the discussion of Comprehensive Midwifery Care at Mrs. Y and Baby Mrs. Y using 7 varney steps starting from data collection to evaluation, and there is no gap between theory and in the field.
Conclusion: With the implementation of comprehensive midwifery care in pregnancy Mrs. Y, during childbirth, childbirth and newborns have received result, namely Mrs. Y and her baby is in good health.
