Abstract

Background: The maternal mortality rate in ASEAN reached 235 per 100,000 live births, and infant mortality in the world in 2019 reached 28.2 per 100 live births. Data from the Nurhasanah midwife clinic, Pontianak City, in 2022 shows that the number of normal births was 156 mothers, which included normal births and pathological births (11 patients). Therefore, the government measures the MMR reduction program by optimizing the implementation of comprehensive care, starting from pregnancy, childbirth, newborns, and postpartum to birth control method. Case Report: Comprehensive midwifery case was performed for Mrs N (32 years, G2P1A0) from August 3, 2022, to February 11, 2023. The type of the data was primary. The data collecting techniques were anamneses, examination, observation, and documentation. The data, then, were analyzed by comparing the data gathered and the existing theory. Discussion: This case report details the continuity of care on Mrs N and her baby using an observational descriptive method and a case study. Conclusion: Complete continuity of care has been wholly and procedurally to the patient. A gap was found between the case and theory, particularly, particulary in infant vaccine administration
