ASUHAN KEBIDANAN KOMPREHENSIF PADA Ny. M DAN By. Ny M DENGAN PENDARAHAN POSTPARTUM DI PUSKESMAS GANG SEHAT DI KOTA PONTIANAK

Background: Comprehensive midwifery care is an examination performed thoroughly and continuously for pregnant women, giving birth, postpartum and newborn babies. This comprehensive care aims to reduce the maternal mortality rate, one of the most significant global health issues today. The maternal mortality rate is the number of maternal deaths resulting from pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum processes, which is used as an indicator of women's health status. The 2020 MMR in Indonesia was 189 cases of maternal death, with an infant mortality rate of 16.85. The West Kalimantan Health Office data for 2022 shows that the MMR was 246/100,000 live births. In 2020, the IMR was 17.47 infant deaths. In 2022, the number of IMR in West Kalimantan reached 593/1000 live births. Absolutely, the number of the infants deaths declined from 616 in 2021 to 522 deaths in 2022. Based on the results obtained from the West Kalimantan Health Office in Pontianak, the MMR is 157/100,000 live births with 18 cases of maternal death.
Case Report: Comprehensive midwifery care at the Eqka Hartikasih midwife clinic , Gang Sehat health center, and patient’s house from November 14, 2022. The subject was Mrs M (33 years, GɪɪɪPɪɪA0). The type of the data was primary. The data collecting techniques were interview, observation, and physical examination. The data, then, were analysed by comparing the case and the existing theory.
Discussion: This case report details complete midwifery care of Mrs M and her baby using case study research (CSR). This study was conducted at Gang Sehat Health Center and the patient’s house. The comprehensive care encompassed the pregnancy period to contraception
Conclusion: Comprehensive midwifery care has been wholly and procedurally conducted for Mrs M. using the seven stages of Varney model. However, a gap was found between the case and theory, especially during the pregnancy (age and herbal extracts) and the postpartum (the fourth stage of labour of postpartum bleeding), therefore, the patient decided to select her contraceptive method.
