Abstract
Background: In 2019, the maternal mortality rate in ASEAN reached 235 per 100,000 births, and infant mortality worldwide was 28.2 per 100 live births. Data from the Nurhasanah midwife clinic, Pontianak City, in 2022 indicate 156 patients with normal deliveries and 11 with pathological deliveries. Therefore, it is essential to conduct maternal mortality reduction programs. One of which is comprehensive midwifery care. This care is performed comprehensively, from pregnancy, childbirth, newborns, and postpartum to family planning or child birth control. Case Report: Comprehensive midwifery care was performed for Mrs S (42 years, G3P2A0) from June 14 to December 24, 2022. The type of the data was primary. The data collecting techniques were anamneses, examination, observation, and documentation. The data, then, were analyzed by comparing the data gathered and the existing theory.
Discussion: This case report details the continuity of care for Mrs S and her baby using an observational descriptive method and a case study.
Conclusion: Complete continuity of care has been wholly and procedurally conducted for Mrs S and her baby. No gap was found between the case and theory
