Abstract

Background: The World Health Organization (2019) indicates that maternal deaths worldwide reached 303,000 cases. The maternal mortality rate in ASEAN reaches 235 per 100,000 live births (ASEAN Secretariat, 2020). Meanwhile, the maternal mortality rate in Indonesia fluctuated, from 228 per 100,000 live births in 2002-2007, increasing to 359 per 100,000 live births in 2007-2012, then decreasing to 305 per 100,000 live births in 2012-2015. In 2019, there were 4,221 cases of maternal death in Indonesia (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2019).
Case Report: Comprehensive midwifery care was performed on Mrs. E and her baby on October 28, 2022. The type of the data was primary. The data collecting techniques were anamneses, examination, observation, and documentation. The data, then, were analysed by comparing the data and the existing theory.
Discussion: This case report details complete midwifery care for Mrs. E and her baby using the SOAP method.
