Abstract
Background: WHO indicates a high maternal mortality rate (MMR) in 2020, namely 287,000. In West Kalimantan, the maternal and infant mortality rate (IMR) reached 246 per 100 births and 17.47 per 100 people (West Kalimantan Health Service). One of the measures to reduce MMR and IMR is by implementing a comprehensive midwifery care program using the SOAP method.
Case Report: Comprehensive midwifery care was performed on Mrs. N and her baby from April 3 to September 07, 2022. The data collecting techniques were anamneses, examination, observation, and documentation.
Discussion: This case report details complete midwifery care on Mrs N using the SOAP method.
Conclusion: Comprehensive midwifery care has been wholly and procedurally conducted for Mrs N using the SOAP method and the seven-stages of Varney model. However, a gap was found between the case and theory.
