Abstract

Background: Most cases of anemia in Indonesia are caused by the lack of iron (Fe), which is needed to form haemoglobin. The 2018 Basic Health Research (RISKESDAS) results show that the proportion of anemia in pregnant women is 48.9%. Untreated anemia in pregnant women can increase the risk of dangerous complications, such as premature birth, risk of low birth weight in babies, risk of postpartum depression, and maternal death.
Case Report: Comprehensive midwifery care was performed for Mrs J (25 weeks pregnant, G2P1A0) from August 09 to December 18, 2022 at Alianyang health center. The type of the data was primary. The data collecting techniques were anamneses, examination, observation, and documentation. The data, then, were analyzed by comparing the data gathered and the existing theory.
Discussion: This case report details the comprehensive midwifery care of mild anemia in pregnancy using the SOAP method.
Conclusion: Complete continuity of care has been wholly and procedurally using the SOAP method. A gap was found between the case and theory (post partum anemia).
