Background: Comprehensive midwifery care encompasses the care provided by midwives throughout pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, the postpartum period, and the use of contraception to prevent maternal and child mortality (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2020). The government's strategy to address maternal and infant mortality rates involves increasing the estimated cost of maternal and reproductive health service training activities. Furthermore, the government aims to encourage each region to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates (Nurrizka and Saputra, 2014).
Case Report: The comprehensive midwifery care was administered at the Sumarsih maternity clinic in Kubu Raya Regency from December 10, 2023, to February 10, 2024. The primary data utilized in this report was acquired through information gathering, examination, observation, and data collection. The assessment involved comparing the collected data with established theories.
Discussion: This case report outlines the midwifery care of normal delivery provided to Mrs. J using the SOAP method.
Conclusion: Comprehensive midwifery care for Mrs. J and her infant adhered to the 7-step Varney rule through SOAP documentation, revealing a notable variance between theoretical expectations and field data
