Abstract
Background: Comprehensive midwifery care encompasses services provided by midwives throughout the phases of pregnancy, childbirth, birth weight, postpartum period, and family planning programs, aiming to deliver high-quality, all-encompassing care to prevent maternal and child mortality.
Objective: This study seeks to provide comprehensive midwifery care for Mrs. P, who has mild anemia, and her baby experiencing moderate asphyxia.
Method: The case study utilizes the SOAP method to examine comprehensive midwifery care for Mrs. P and her baby in Pontianak City.
Results: The midwifery care spanned 9 months, covering pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, infant and toddler care, contraceptive implementation, and immunization. The outcomes included a healthy pregnancy, normal delivery, postpartum care, newborns with moderate asphyxia, contraceptive administration, hepatitis-B immunization, and measles immunization.
Conclusion: The procedural provision of midwifery care to Mrs. P and her infant at a public health center in Pontianak City underscored a disparity between theory and management.
