Abstract

Background: The development of information and communication technology has a significant impact on daily life, making it easier for people to carry out various activities. However, such as the case of the Tokopedia application user data leak to the Darkweb in 2020. A total of 91 million user account data was hacked and sold at high prices, raising concerns about the confidentiality of personal data. The responsibility to secure the system and provide clarification to users regarding data security is important for affected platforms, such as Tokopedia.
Results and Conclusion: The results of this study have a significant impact of Tokopedia's user data leakage to the darkweb in 2020. The resulting impact is not only a loss, but raises widespread concerns for privacy and data security on online platforms
