Abstract
Background: The low status of maternal health in West Kalimantan can be seen from the indicator of the maternal mortality rate in 2019 as many as 113 cases. This maternal mortality rate increased from 2018.The maternal mortality rate in 2018 was only 86 cases. Maternal mortality in Pontianak City in 2019, there were 5 cases of maternal death, with details of 2 cases of maternal mortality, 3 cases of maternal death during childbirth (Ministry of Health, West Kalimantan, 2019)
Purpose: The general objective of this study was to provide comprehensive midwifery care to Mrs. K and Baby. Mrs. K in Pontianak City.
Methods: Using a descriptive observational method with a case study approach (CSR).
Result: Assessment of comprehensive care at Mrs. K GII PI A0 on the objective data there is a gap between case review and theory review, in case review. Hb examination was carried out at the first visit only with Hb 11. So, there was a gap between case review and theoretical review and management of midwifery care in pregnant women, there was a gap between theory and case, namely Mrs. K in the management of IMD, baby Mrs. IMD was performed after cutting the umbilical cord, cleaned, and given midwifery care for the newborn, such as anthropometric measurements, vitamin K injection and keeping the baby warm. Because following procedures in the field, IMD is carried out after providing care for the newborn, after the mother and baby are clean.
Conclusion: There are differences in the basic concepts of care for pregnancy, and newborn care.
