ASUHAN KEBIDANAN KOMPREHENSIF PADA NY. C DAN BY. NY. C DI PMB NURHASANAH DI KOTA PONTIANAK

Background: Comprehensive Midwifery Care is midwifery care that is provided extensively, starting from pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, and newborns up to 2 years. In 2020, there were 295,000 cases of maternal death (World Health Organization, 2021). The leading causes of maternal death include high blood pressure during pregnancy (pre-eclampsia and eclampsia), bleeding, infection after birth and unsafe abortion. Data from the ASEAN Secretariat for 2021 indicates per 100,000 live births in 2020. Meanwhile, the lowest MMR was recorded in Singapore in 2020, with no maternal deaths reported.
Case Report: Comprehensive midwifery care was performed for Mrs C (21 years, G1P0A0) from September 16 to December 11, 2022. The type of the data was primary. The data collecting techniques were anamneses, examination, observation, and documentation. The data, then, were analyzed by comparing the data gathered and the existing theory.
Discussion: This case report details the continuity of care for Mrs C and her baby using an observational descriptive method and a case study at the Nurhasanah midwife clinic, Karya Mulia Health Center, and the patient’s house. The comprehensive care encompasses the pregnancy period to infant vaccination.
Conclusion: Complete continuity of care has been wholly and procedurally for Mrs C and her baby. A gap was found between the case and theory, particularly in infant vaccine administration.
