PERBANDINGAN JUMLAH LEUKOSIT PADA PENGGUNA ROKOK ELEKTRIK DAN ROKOK KONVENSIONAL

Smoking has become a daily habit in Indonesia. Kalimantan Barat has a smoking percentage of 26,7 percent. There are many attempts to find alternatives to replace convevtional cigarettes. This type of e-cegarette is one of the new phenomena being sought to replace tobacco cigarettes. But in fact, electric cigarettes also have negative effects on the human body, one of which is on the number of leukocytes. This study aims to determine the comparison of the number of leukoctyes in electric cigarette users and convesional cigaretts. This type of research is analytic observational with cross sectional research design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a total sample 30 electric smokers an 30 convectional smokers. The resuls of the study by conducting the Mann-Whitney test on the comprasion of the number of leukocytes in users of electrik cigarettes an convectional cigarettes with a significant value of 0.05 get P=0.717. based on the results of statistical test,it can be concluded that there is no difference in the number of leukocytes in e-cigarette users an conventional cigarettes.
