Abstract

Higher education requires an efficient data management system to increase effectiveness and efficiency in information management. Aisyiyah Pontianak Polytechnic needs a desktop application that can help track and manage student data and lecture materials better. The aim of this research is to design an optimal user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) for the Study Tracer application, so that it can provide a satisfactory user experience and increase productivity in managing study data. This research uses a design thinking approach in designing the UI and UX of the Study Tracer application. This research design involves user needs analysis, iterative prototype development, and testing and evaluation of the prototype. The software development method used is Agile to ensure flexibility and adaptability in the development process. The research results show that through a design thinking approach, UI and UX have been successfully designed that are intuitive and easy to use for the Tracer Studi application. This application prototype has been tested iteratively by involving users, and the feedback obtained has been implemented to improve the quality of the application. The main conclusion from this research is that good UI and UX design can increase user effectiveness in managing study data, as well as increase user satisfaction with the application user experience. As a key recommendation, it is recommended to continue making continuous updates and improvements based on user feedback to ensure the Studi Treacer application remains relevant and useful for users
