Abstract
Background : Anemia during pregnancy is a contributing factor to high maternal and infant mortality rates, as it increases the risk of complications such as postpartum hemorrhage resulting from uterine atony. Anemia is a major risk factor for postpartum hemorrhage, which accounts for approximately 19.3% of all maternal deaths in Indonesia. It can also worsen a mother's condition when she faces other childbirth complications. Efforts to prevent anemia are carried out through a program that provides a minimum of 90 iron-folic acid (TTD) tablets during pregnancy.
Research Objective : To provide comprehensive care to Mrs. S with moderate anemia and her baby in Pontianak City.
Research Method : This study used a descriptive observational method with a case study approach of Mrs. S and her baby in Pontianak City.
Results : Midwifery care for Mrs. S and By. Mrs. S Standards were met in pregnancy with moderate anemia. Mrs. S PMB Astatin Chaniago, GG Sehat Health Center routinely to check her pregnancy. With partograph monitoring, labor went smoothly after being referred to Jeumpa Regional Hospital. The condition of the mother and baby was healthy, the baby was born spontaneously at 14:35 WIB, BB: 3200 gr. Two hours after birth, the baby was given HB0 vaccine, given eye ointment, and given a vitamin K injection to prevent bleeding in the brain.
Conclusion : From the comprehensive midwifery care provided to Mrs. S with moderate anemia and her baby, gaps were found in theory and practice, particularly during prenatal visits.
