Abstract

Background: Physical and psychological changes in the third trimester of pregnancy often cause discomfort, such as frequent urination, constipation, flatulence, vaginal discharge, swollen legs, migraines, stretch marks, haemorrhoids, asthma and back pain. Therefore, doctors or midwives need to carry out comprehensive antenatal care examinations.
Case Report: Comprehensive midwifery care was performed for Mrs T (26 years, G1P0A0), a patient with low back pain, from July 28 to November 09, 2022. The data collecting techniques were anamneses, examination, observation, and documentation. The data, then, were analyzed by comparing the data gathered and the existing theory.
Discussion: This case report details the continuity of care for a patient with low back pain using the SOAP method.
Conclusion: Complete continuity of care has been wholly and procedurally conducted using the SOAP method. No gap was found in the subjective and objective data. In other words, the analysis has been successfully done under the theory.
