Background: Comprehensive midwifery care encompasses the support provided by a midwife throughout pregnancy, childbirth, newborn care, postpartum, family planning, and immunization, with the goal of delivering high-quality services to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there are 303,000 cases of maternal mortality worldwide, and 24 per 1,000 live births result in infant mortality.
Case Report: Comprehensive Midwifery Care was done for Mrs. N and By at Sehat Alley’s Public Health Center in Pontianak City, from February 2023 to October 2023. Data collection methods included anamnesis, observation, examination, and documentation, gathering both primary and secondary data. The data analysis involved comparing new data with existing theoretical frameworks.
Discussion: This case report illustrated the midwifery care provided to Mrs. N and By at Sehat Alley’s Public Health Center in Pontianak City using the SOAP method.
Conclusion: Based on the midwifery care provided to Mrs. N and By at Sehat Alley’s Public Health Center in Pontianak City, discrepancies were identified between theoretical knowledge and practical midwifery care.
